Nowadays the standardized tests are an essential tool when assessing the quality of education, the population changes and the inclusion of new evaluation forms would require the use of methodologies that allow the comparison between the results of the tests in different applications. This article outlines the different methodologies for equalization Rating through transformations applied to the particular case of the test Saber 11, applied by the Instituto Colombiano para la Evaluaci´on de la Calidad de la Educaci´on (Icfes), due to the structural change in the test presented from 2014. To achieve the equalization the Generalized Linear Models and the Test Classic theory models are used, to make comparisons with less error when Beta Regression models are used. The methodologies presented can be applied to different scenarios in which equalization Rating for standardized test is required.; Actualmente, las pruebas estandarizadas son una herramienta fundamental ala hora de evaluar la calidad de la educación.

Two Value-Added models were fitted using Cohort comparisons on the Saber 3◦, 5◦ y 9◦ test that are applied by the Icfes. The first one, which is only based on the results of the initial year to estimate growth in the final year, provides a measure in absolute terms of educational gains of students within a school. The second, controlling for several demographic, social and economic characteristics, cleans the result of conditions that the school can not control, to give an estimate of the exclusive effect of the school on student learning. The analysis results show that the economic conditions of students are strongly related to educational progress, but there are schools that despite having underperforming students have high performance levels.

<summary type="text">Parameter estimation in mixture models using evolutive algorithms; Estimación de parámetros en modelos de mezclas usando algoritmos evolutivos
The mixture models are widely used in cases when there are elements that come from different populations, mixed in a superpopulation. There are traditional methods for the estimation of the parameters in mixture models: the Bayesian Method and the Expectation-Maximization (EM) algorithm. For that reason, in this work we propose the use of evolutive algorithms, such as genetic algorithms. We propose an algorithm for the comparison of evolutive and traditional methods, and we illustrate the use of this algorithm with a real application. We found that the evolutive algorithms are a competitive option to estimate the parameters in mixture models in the cases when the populations in the mixture follows a gamma distribution, the weights of the populations in the mixture are even and the sam- ple size is bigger than 100 items. For the mixture of normal distributions and the estimation of the number of populations in a mixture, the traditional method is a better option than the genetic algorithm.
