dc.descriptionThis paper analyzes the theoretical relevance of the recent perspective designated as "historical epistemology", in relation with the similar perspective the history of epistemology. In contrast to the point of view of Sturm, the questions to the epistemological contributions of a research practices analyzes, carried out by the studies of the historical epistemology, are reviewed and discussed. As a basis for the analysis of these topics, the origin and meaning of historical epistemology are specified, and the main senses in which this perspective has been developed, its contributions, its main limitations and its criticisms are defined.en-US
