The problem of realism about spacetime revolves around whether it is a substance or a relationship between substances. For the ontic structural realism: "spacetime is a real structure embodied in the world", where the mathematical structure has the preeminence, hence its ontological status. In this paper I set up a response to this structural realism, arguing that the idea of a “metaphysics of structures”, which gives ontological primacy to structures over objects, fails to avoid the inconveniences of some basic aspects of traditional realism over spacetime.en-US
