dc.descriptionEl propósito de este trabajo es el de hacer una aproximación crítica a los problemas que enfrenta hoy la universidad. Se trata de una crisis relacionada con fenómenos que atraviesan el mundo social que muestran la imposibilidad de seguir sosteniendo la división de las ciencias que estableció el proyecto moderno. Aquí se aborda como interrogante ¿Cuál es el papel de la universidad en las actuales sociedades en las que el hombre se ve enfrentado a vivir con una actitud calculista y ponderada en relación con sus propias posibilidades y opciones? Los argumentos se inscriben en el campo de la práctica docente y de la investigación, como fundamentos del propósito que asiste a la Academia.

It examines the crisis related to the phenomena found throughout the social world that show the impossibilities to continue supporting the division of sciences established by modern projects. Hence it asks: Which is the role of the University in contemporary societies, where human beings are faced to live with a calculating and weighing attitude about their own possibilities and options? Arguments are grounded in the field of teaching practice and research, as the basis of goals pursued by the Academy
