The growth and adoption of radio frequency identification-based technologies have facilitated access control and authentication in various environments, from public transportation to payment and security systems. However, this advancement has also brought with it challenges in terms of fraud protection, especially with card cloning, a practice that compromises the reliability of these systems. Faced with this problem, it is necessary to develop more robust methods to efficiently and accurately detect cloned cards. This project proposes an innovative solution that combines signal processing and machine learning techniques to analyze card behavior in the time and frequency domains. Instead of relying solely on the information stored on the card, the proposed approach is based on the analysis of the signals emitted during communication with the reader, allowing the identification of patterns that differentiate between authentic and cloned cards. The development of this research seeks to contribute to strengthening security in RFID-based systems by offering an alternative based on signal characterization and the use of advanced computational models. Throughout the project, the theoretical principles underlying this methodology, its implementation, and the tests performed to evaluate its effectiveness will be explored.
