dc.descriptionEl transporte de carga por carretera es eje fundamental en el desarrollo económico, social y de competitividad del país, es por esto que el presente artículo presenta un análisis de uno de sus corredores viales más importantes (Buenaventura-Bogotá), donde se consideran diversos aspectos, económicos, políticos y sociales, pero se hará especial énfasis en la infraestructura. Este escrito es una reflexión basada en el método cuantitativo donde se desarrolla una revisión documental de datos tomados del 2005 en adelante. Estos datos se obtuvieron de artículos en reconocidas revistas, periódicos, publicaciones oficiales y producciones literarias de diversos autores. Con lo anterior se obtuvieron elementos suficientes de la situación actual del transporte de carga por carretera en Colombia y especialmente en el corredor de estudio. Esto con el objetivo de entender detalladamente las variables que influyen en el transporte terrestre: infraestructura, redes viales, características urbanas, restricciones de movilidad, geología, entre otros aspectos con los que los conductores deben lidiar a diario en las carreteras del país. Finalmente este análisis documental busca exponer al público de interés y en general a los lectores sobre la importancia de unas adecuadas políticas de infraestructura para el desarrollo del país y como esto afecta la competitividad.
dc.descriptionCargo and freight transport by road is a fundamental axis in the economic and social development of the country, and plays a key role in the competitiveness of the region. Therefore, this article presents an analysis of one of its most important road corridors (Buenaventura-Bogotá), where various aspects are considered, economic, political and social, but special emphasis will be placed on infrastructure. This paper is a reflection based on a quantitative method where a documentary review of data taken from 2005 onwards is developed. These data were obtained from articles in recognized magazines, newspapers, official publications and academic productions of various authors. With the above, sufficient elements of the current situation of road freight transport in Colombia and especially in the study corridor were obtained. This with the aim of understanding in detail the variables that influence land transport: infrastructure, road networks, urban characteristics, mobility restrictions, geology, among other aspects that drivers must deal with on a daily basis on the country's roads. Finally, this research? seeks to expose the public of interest and, in general, readers about the importance of adequate infrastructure policies for the development of the country and how this affects competitiveness.
