dc.descriptionEsta investigación se hizo con el propósito de obtener información relevante en cuanto a la aplicación de la tecnología GNSS en la actividad de transporte de carga terrestre, actor importante dentro de la cadena logística por la influencia que tiene en las actividades de transporte en Colombia, posicionándose como la más importante dentro de los diferentes medios usados para el movimiento de mercancía. Para establecer las ventajas de aplicar esta tecnología, se inició con la descripción de la base tecnológica del funcionamiento, los factores tecnológicos relevantes para un correcto uso y aplicación, los diferentes sistemas que se han desarrollado dentro de la tecnología GNSS, el grado de precisión y la cantidad de información que se puede obtener por medio de los receptores, la cual es importante para hacer una administración adecuada de una flota de transporte de carga. Para comprender los beneficios que se pueden obtener con la implementación de esta tecnología, se revisaron los resultados que se han dado a nivel mundial, de aquí se partió hacia un enfoque de los resultados en América Latina para finalizar luego en los resultados que se han logrado en Colombia. En Colombia no se ha realizado una implementación consciente de esta tecnología, se ha hecho una implementación parcial enfocada a temas de seguridad, lo cual demuestra que hay una gran oportunidad en el uso de esta tecnología para mejoras favorables muy importantes para el transporte de carga.
dc.descriptionThis research was done in order to obtain relevant information regarding the implementation of GNSS technology in the activity of land freight transport , a major player in the logistics chain in the influence of transport activities in Colombia , positioning as the most important element of the various media used for the movement of goods. To establish the advantages of using this technology began with the description of the technological base of operation , the relevant technological factors for proper use and application , different systems have been developed within the GNSS technology, the degree of precision and the amount of information that can be obtained through the receivers, which is important for proper management of a fleet of cargo transport. To understand the benefits to be gained with the implementation of this technology , the results that have occurred globally, here is left for an approach results in Latin America to finish then the results that were achieved were reviewed in Colombia . In Colombia has not made a conscious implementation of this technology , there has been a partial implementation focused on security issues , which shows that there is great opportunity in using this technology to very significant positive improvements for freight .
