The Stirling motor is an external combustion motor that has different sources of heat, such as solar energy, wind energy, electricity, geothermal, among others. Based on this, there is a source of heat in which the study on how temperature variations are influenced by the efficiency and the velocity of the motor. Data points on velocity, pressure, temperature, torque, and efficiencies from each motor was taken. To visualize the energy created by the motor, a coupling between the Stirling motor and a generator was designed and the function of the system was taken into account. In order to observe the engine operation, the weight of the flywheel is varied as well as the material needed to exchange heat. All results are compared and analyzed in order to make the right decision when designing a Stirling motor. For this project MatLab®, SolidWorks® and ansys® were used in order to conduct thermal simulations, as well as for developing codes to mechanize parts for the motor assembly and the visualization of the variables. Concluding the experimental phase of the project there we finded eventualities caused by the lack of torque own of the gamma configuration, which inhibit the mechanical energy transformation into electric energy. With the reached results have been proved that the motor fulfills the thermodynamical cycle of the Stirling model.
