dc.descriptionThe tropical dry forest (TDF), recognized for stabilizing soils and regulating the hydrological cycle, has been affected by the loss of plant vigour and substrate moisture, particularly in the municipality of Agua de Dios (Cundinamarca, Colombia) that presents one of the last relics of this biome. The study analyzed the transformation of TDF in this municipality for 1991, 2015 and 2020, through the calculation of the NDWI and NDVI of Landsat satellite images to establish the evolution of vegetable vigour and humidity of TDF. The main results show an increase in the low (between −0.6 and −0.1) and very low (from −1 to −0.61) categories of the indices, which leads to the conclusion that there is a decrease and correlation between them for both seasons (dry and rainy).en-US
dc.descriptionEl bosque seco tropical (Bs-T), que se caracteriza por estabilizar los suelos y regular el ciclo hidrológico, se ha visto afectado por la pérdida de vigor vegetal y humedad en el sustrato, particularmente en el municipio de Agua de Dios (Cundinamarca, Colombia), que presenta uno de los últimos relictos de este bioma. El estudio analizó la transformación del Bs-T en este municipio para los años 1991, 2015 y 2020, a través del cálculo de los NDWI y NDVI de imágenes satelitales Landsat, con el fin de determinar la evolución del vigor vegetal y la humedad del Bs-T. Los principales resultados muestran un aumento de las categorías de los índices bajo (entre −0,6 y −0,1) y muy bajo (desde −1 y −0,61) por lo que se concluye que existe una disminución y una correlación entre estos para ambas épocas (seca y lluviosa).es-ES
