dc.descriptionObjective: To describe the factors related to absenteeism of workers with reinstatement from a company in the agro-industrial sector of Valle del Cauca. Methodology: Analytical, observational, retrospective study; carried out on workers from a company in the agro-industrial sector of the municipality of Guacarí (Valle, Colombia). Absenteeism in two groups was retrospectively analyzed: workers with reinstatement (n = 32; 4.7%) and without reinstatement (n = 688; 95.3%). Sociodemographic, work and absenteeism data were collected between January 2010 and December 2011. The association between variables was analyzed with the X 2 test considering alpha = 0.05 and discriminant analysis. Results: The age of the studied population fluctuated between 18 and 61 years (X = 44.7; SD: 10.0). The average seniority in the company was 16 years (SD: 10.5). The vast majority (93%) of workers were men. Greater discriminant power was found (92.3% ¸ wilks lambda 0.982, P_value = 0.026) for the set of variables: age (years), seniority (years), medical consultations (days), paid absenteeism (days), cause absenteeism medical (days). Conclusions: Age, work seniority, paid absenteeism and paid absenteeism for medical reasons are factors associated with greater absenteeism in workers with reinstatement.en-US
dc.descriptionObjetivo: Describir los factores relacionados al ausentismo de trabajadores con reintegro laboral de una empresa del sector agroindustrial del Valle del Cauca. Metodología: Estudio analítico, observacional, retrospectivo; realizado en trabajadores de una empresa del sector agroindustrial del municipio de Guacarí (Valle, Colombia). Se analizaron retrospectivamente los ausentismos laborales en dos grupos: trabajadores con reintegro laboral (n=32; 4,7%) y sin reintegro laboral (n=688; 95,3%). Se recolectaron datos sociodemográficos, laborales y relativos al ausentismo entre Enero 2010 y Diciembre 2011. La asociación entre variables se analizó con la prueba X 2 considerando alfa=0,05 y análisis discriminante. Resultados: La edad de la población estudiada fluctuó entre 18 y 61 años (X=44,7; SD: 10,0). La antigüedad promedio en la empresa fue de 16 años (SD: 10,5). La gran mayoría (93%) de los trabajadores fueron hombres. Se encontró mayor poder discriminante (92,3%¸ lambda de wilks 0,982, Valor_p=0,026) para el conjunto de variables: edad (años), antigüedad (años), consultas médicas (días), ausentismo remunerado (días), ausentismo causas médicas (días). Conclusiones: La edad, la antigüedad laboral, ausentismo remunerado y ausentismo remunerado por causas médicas, son factores asociados a mayor ausentismo en trabajadores con reintegro laboral.es-ES
