| dc.description | The aim of this paper and its underlying research project is to be a contribution to the grounding of the Foucaldian concept of aesthetics of existence from an aesthetic and anthropological standpoint using two referents of the philosophical tradition: 1) the thoughts of Nietzsche, particularly his criticism of metaphysics and his aesthetic ontology, and 2) the ancient Greek-Roman philosophy on the art of living, namely the Stoic and Epicurean Hellenistic schools, particularly their conception of philosophy as a way of life and the notions of joy (Stoics) and pleasure (Epicureans). As an added value, we derive some aspects of the anthropological potential of this Foucauldian concept. Finally, we highlight the importance of cynicism during the final stages of Foucault’s works, the relationship between Cynics and the concept of aesthetics of existence. We also explain why these are not included in the concept’s theoretical grounds. | en-US |
| dc.description | El objetivo del artículo es hacer un aporte al proceso de fundamentación del concepto foucaultiano de estética de la existencia desde una perspectiva estético-antropológica, a partir de dos referentes de la tradición filosófica: 1) el pensamiento de Nietzsche, específicamente su crítica de la metafísica y su ontología estética, y 2) la filosofía greco-romana antigua del arte de vivir de las escuelas helenísticas estoica y epicúrea; en particular, su concepción de la filosofía como forma de vida y las nociones de gozo (estoica) y placer (epicúrea). Como valor agregado se derivan algunos aspectos del potencial antropológico de este concepto foucaultiano. Por último, se señala la importancia que tuvo el cinismo para el último Foucault, la relación entre los cínicos y el concepto de estética de la existencia, y se explica por qué no son incluidos en el ejercicio de fundamentación teórica del concepto. | es-ES |
