dc.descriptionThe current investigation was carried out in the Puente  Quemao and the San Francisco de Asís villages area, belonging  to the municipality of El Copey in the department of  Cesar (Atlántico). The study consists of a series of phases  in which several preparatory activities were conducted for  the collection, analysis and interpretation of the information.  In addition, the identification of the vulnerability occurring in  the place with respect to mass movements was of vital importance.  Given the above, it was feasible to identify weathering  profiles, macroscopic recognition of the lithologies and  the interpretation of mass movement type, so it could be  possible to propose conceivable solutions to the imminent  risk, which can provide an alternative for the prevention of  disasters. In addition, this study is of vital importance for  knowing of regional geology and research participation. en-US
dc.descriptionLa presente investigación se realizó en el área que corresponde a   la vereda de Puente Quemao y el corregimiento de San Francisco   de Asís, pertenecientes al municipio de El Copey en el departamento   del Cesar. El estudio se compone de una serie de fases   en las que se realizaron varias actividades preparatorias para la   recopilación, análisis e interpretación de la información; además,   fue de vital importancia la identificación de la vulnerabilidad presente   en el lugar con respecto a movimientos en masas.   Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, fue factible la identificación de los   perfiles de meteorización, el reconocimiento macroscópico de las   litologías y la interpretación del tipo de movimiento en masa, para   poder plantear posibles soluciones al riesgo inminente, el cual   puede proporcionar una alternativa para la prevención de desastres.   Además, este estudio es de vital importancia para el conocimiento   de la geología regional y la participación investigativa.          es-ES
