dc.descriptionThis paper offers a position on the participation and competitiveness in the sector of food and beverages in Atlantico-Colombia. We will analyze the commercial participation and evolution of the sector in general during the period of the years 2000 to 2014. In order to determine the competitiveness of the exportations we will make use of three commerce indicators: Index of Revealed Comparative Advantage, Relative Trade Balance, and Importing Intensity Index. The results of the study reveal a reconfiguration of the sector characterized by a loss of competitiveness since 2008.en-US
dc.descriptionEste trabajo ofrece una postura sobre la participación y competitividad del sector de alimentos y bebidas en el departamento del Atlántico – Colombia. Para ello se analiza la participación y evolución comercial del sector en general durante el periodo 2000 - 2014. Con el fin de determinar la competitividad de las exportaciones se utilizan tres indicadores del comercio: Índice de Ventaja Comparativa Revelada, Balanza comercial relativa y el Índice de Intensidad Importadora. Los resultados del estudio revelan una reconfiguración del sector caracterizado por una pérdida de competitividad a partir del 2008.es-ES
