dc.descriptionThe goal of the present paper is to assess the usage of the support systems when decisions are made in the Operational, Administrative and Financial area at Makro and Tenaris Tubo Caribe enterprises in Cartagena, Colombia, and how these systems contribute with the improvement of different processes during the making of decisions in certainty, uncertainty and risk environments.The implemented methodology is the descriptive analysis during the observations and documentation of the results in the functioning of the support system when decisions are made in each one of the areas of the company. Assessing at the same time, if the applications of the different Softwares that are used respondto an unstructured, semi-structured and structured decision according to the hierarchical level where they belong plus the type of decision that they solve, showing the advances that the use of the TICS has allowed We concluded that the use of the support tools when decisions are made, SSD and SAD in the operative, administrative and financial area at Makro and Tenaris Tubo Caribe, are mainly used in the management areas; most of the situations that are solved with the support that they offer, are for structured and semistructured decisions, that is, the required system is for support of decisions, not for help; there are very fewcases where they appear in an unstructured strategic level.en-US
dc.descriptionEl objetivo del presente escrito es evaluar el uso de los sistemas de soporte y los de apoyo a la decisión en el área Operativa, Administrativa y Financiera en las empresas Makro y Tenaris Tubo Caribe en la ciudad de Cartagena, Colombia y la manera como estos contribuyen en la mejora de los diferentes procesos de toma de decisiones en ambientes de certeza, riesgo y bajo completa incertidumbre. La metodología utilizada es el análisis descriptivo a partir de las observaciones y la documentación de los resultados en el funcionamiento del sistema de soporte y de ayuda a la decisión en cada una de estas áreasde la empresa. Evaluando a su vez, si las aplicaciones de los diferentes software que manejan responde a una decisión no estructurada, semiestructurada o estructurada según el nivel jerárquico al que pertenece y el tipo de decisión que resuelven, demostrando los avances que han permitido el uso de las TICS.Se concluyó que el uso de las herramientas de soporte y apoyo a las decisión, SSD y SAD en el área Operativa, Administrativa y Financiera en Makro y Tenaris Tubo Caribe, es utilizadas principalmente en el área de gestión; la mayoría de las situaciones que se solucionan a partir del soporte que brindan, son para decisiones estructuradas y semiestructurada, es decir el alcance del sistema que se requiere es de soporte a la decisión no de ayuda, son pocos los casos que se presentan en el nivel estratégico no estructurado.es-ES
