dc.descriptionChild abuse is a social and public health problem that tests the institutional capacities of the Colombian State, since its magnitude requires a significant response from different areas of public power. The consequences of child abuse are reflected in the development of maladaptive and violent behaviors that, when not professionally cared for, end up generating future young offenders in society. With this article we want to assess the state response to these two phenomena, for which the problem was analyzed conceptually and legally, trying to describe the factors that make up the variables of abuse and juvenile delinquency in order to understand the relationships of these phenomenaen-US
dc.descriptionEl maltrato infantil es una problemática social y de salud pública que pone a prueba las capacidades institucionales del Estado colombiano, ya que su magnitud exige una respuesta significativa desde los diferentes ámbitos del poder público. Las secuelas del Maltrato infantil se reflejan en el desarrollo de conductas desadaptativas y violentas que al no ser atendidas profesionalmente terminan engendrando en la sociedad futuros jóvenes delincuentes. Con este artículo se quiere valorar la respuesta estatal frente a estos dos fenómenos, para lo cual se analizó conceptual y legalmente la problemática, tratando de describir los factores que configuran las variables del maltrato y la delincuencia juvenil con el fin de comprender las relaciones de estos fenómenos.es-ES
