dc.descriptionBackground: The national public health plan established goals for objectives defined as priorities in public health, including improving oral health. The fulfillment of these goals is related to achievements obtained in basic levels of care. Objective: To evaluate the Oral health care program in the child population in a first-level outpatient center in the city of Cali. Methods: Evaluation of the results of an oral health program with two measurements: one measurement was carried out in March 2019 and another in March 2020. The study focused on analyzing the data collected on RIPS and the COP and CEO indices of patients. Results: The CEO index of patients between 0-5 years old at the beginning was 2.49 and at the end it was 2.51, which increased the indicator by 0.02, being outside the goal established by the PDSP, for patients between 6-17 years at the beginning of the study in 2.00 and at the end of the study in 1.99, for this population the COP index decreased by 0.01. Conclusion: The CEO index (patients 0-5 years-old) did not obtain expected results from the oral health program, the indicator increased by 0.02, being outside the goal of the PDSP, the COP index (patients 6-17 years-old) although it decreased at 0.01, it did not represent a real improvement in the oral health of the population.en-US
dc.descriptionAntecedentes: El plan nacional de salud pública, estableció metas para objetivos definidos como prioritarios en salud pública, incluido el de mejorar la salud bucal. El cumplimiento de estas metas se relaciona con logros en niveles básicos de atención. Objetivo: Evaluar el programa de atención en salud Oral en la población infantil en un centro ambulatorio de primer nivel de la ciudad de Cali. Métodos: se realizaron dos mediciones, una en marzo de 2019 y otra en marzo del 2020. El estudio se concentró en analizar los datos recolectados sobre RIPS y los índices COP y CEO de los pacientes. Resultados: El índice CEO de los pacientes entre 0 y 5 años al inicio fue de 2.49 y al finalizar fue de 2.51, lo cual aumentó en 0.02 el indicador, quedando por fuera de la meta establecida por el PDSP, para los pacientes entre 6 y 17 años al inicio del estudio en 2.00 y al final del estudio en 1.99, para esta población el índice COP disminuyó en 0.01. Conclusión: Según el índice CEO (pacientes 0-5 años) no se obtuvieron resultados esperados del programa de salud oral. El indicador aumento en 0.02 quedando por fuera de la meta del PDSP, el índice COP (pacientes  6-17 años) aunque disminuyó en 0.01, no representó una mejoría real en la salud oral de la población.es-ES
