dc.descriptionIn the internal economy of any nation, there are several reasons for the need to use a given good or service outside its borders. This entails positive and negative aspects for the receiving country, and they vary according to the type of good imported, either finished products or raw materials for their transformation, bearing in mind that the fact of importing should be an alternative to increase, not a substitution to the national production. The research makes a tour through the history of the exchange control in Venezuela, as well as questioning the import, even when the receiving country has the capacity to produce the goods requested from abroad. It analyzes possible particular intentions of the custodians of the foreign currency to stimulate importing more than producing. At the same time, some consequences of not having the cotton raw material in the country are evidenced. These situations are framed by the unilateral dependence of the country's foreign currency, since the submission to the oil income anchors the explorations in other markets that could generate foreign currency, and not depend entirely on the volatility of the hydrocarbon market.en-US
dc.descriptionEn la economía interna de cualquier nación, existen diversas razones para tener la necesidad de utilizar un bien o servicio dado fuera de sus fronteras. Esto acarrea aspectos positivos y negativos para el país receptor, y varían según el tipo de bien que importe, bien sea de productos terminados, o materias primas para su transformación, teniendo presente que el hecho de importar debería ser una alternativa de incremento, no una sustitución a la producción nacional. En la investigación se hace un recorrido por la historia del control cambiario en Venezuela, así como cuestionar el importar, aun cuando el país receptor tiene la capacidad de producir los bienes solicitados al extranjero. Se analiza, posibles intenciones particulares de los custodios de las divisas al estimular más el importar que el producir. A su vez, se evidencias algunas consecuencias de no poseer la materia prima del algodón en el país. Estas situaciones se enmarcan por la dependencia unilateral de las divisas del país, dado que la sumisión a la renta petrolera, ancla las exploraciones en otros mercados que pudieran generar divisas, y no depender en su totalidad de lo volátil del mercado del hidrocarburo.es-ES
