| dc.description | The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of perceived health status (PHS), socioeconomic and educational status, about the capabilities of self-care (CSC) in two groups of pregnant women with and without preeclampsia. Methodology: The design was descriptive and comparative probability sampling. The sample size was n = 96 pregnant women with and without preeclampsia, this figure is set to 100 women and 10% was added to soften the phenomenon of attrition, resulting in n = 110. The measurements included basic factors conditioning variables (education and socioeconomic status) and the filling of two scales to estimate CSC and PHS. Results: The average age was between 19 and 24 years, mean and standard deviation of each group did notdiffer significantly for both variables (preeclampsia X=28, SD = 7.23; without preeclampsia X=25, SD=5.99). Over 80% of the sample had primary and secondary, 90% of women did not get paid. The perceived health status influences the capabilities of self-care in women without preeclampsiaF(54)=10.205 p=.002, adjusted R2 =.161. Conclusions: The study findings show that the CSC and the PHS are different in women with and without preeclampsia, however for PES was not statistically significant. | en-US |
| dc.description | Determinar la influencia que tiene la percepción del estado de salud (PES), el nivel socioeconómico y la escolaridad, sobre las capacidades de autocuidado (CAC) en dos grupos de mujeres embarazadas con y sin preeclampsia. Metodología: El diseño fue descriptivo y comparativo con muestreo probabilístico. El tamaño de la muestra fue n=96 mujeres embarazadas con y sin preeclampsia; esta cifra se ajustó a 100 mujeres y se añadió un 10% para amortiguar el fenómeno de atrición, dando como resultando n= 110. Las mediciones incluyeron variables factores básicos condicionantes (escolaridad y nivel socioeconómico) y el llenado de dos escalas para estimar CAC y PES. Resultados: La edad promedio fue entre 19 y 24 años, las medias y la desviación estándarde cada grupo no difirieron de manera significativa para ambas variables (preeclampsia X=28, DE=7,23; sin preeclampsia X=25, DE=5,99). Más del 80% de la muestra tenía nivel de primaria y secundaria, el 90% de las mujeres no percibían salario. La percepción del estado de salud influyó en las capacidades de autocuidado en mujeres sin Preeclampsia F(54)=10.205 y p=.002, R2 ajustada =.161. Conclusión: los hallazgos del estudio muestran que las CAC y la PES son diferentes en las mujeres con y sin preeclampsia, sin embargo para la PES no fue estadísticamente significativo. | es-ES |
