dc.descriptionThis text is focused around the question of how the concept of tradition can work in alternative rock based on a hermeneutical reading from the philosophical proposal of Hans-Georg Gadamer, which is meant to, it is pretended to recognize how tradition has been and continues to be present in each decade until now within the alternative rock genre. From this conception, there is a proposal for three ways to do interpret such concept. The first one takes the concept of tradition elaborated by Gadamer to discover the possible relation of such concept (tradition) within the history of alternative rock and contemporaneity. The second one, has to do with the way in which, the concept of tradition operates and is current in the present through the history of alternative rock and somehow continues to be present in contemporaneity. Last, the rocker is observed, as the main character of this story; he is the one capable of calling out the supposed normality, he is the one who questions, is the one that lurks with his back towards the present, without losing the panorama of the past. The tasks of the contemporary man, is to try to rescue a little bit of the thought that preceded him and based on this, to set his view towards the future, without this view to the past being interpreted as a regression but instead as a comprehension, an understanding on the shoulders of giants.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo parte de la pregunta de cómo el concepto de tradición podría obrar en el rock alternativo a partir de una lectura hermenéutica desde la propuesta filosófica de Hans-Georg Gadamer, es decir, se pretende reconocer cómo la tradición ha estado presente y sigue estando vigentes en cada década hasta ahora en el rock alternativo. Desde esta concepción, se proponen tres maneras de hacer una interpretación de dicho concepto. En primer lugar, se toma el concepto de tradición, elaborado por Gadamer, para descubrir su posible relación (la tradición) en la historia del rock alternativo y la contemporaneidad. El segundo acápite tiene que ver con la manera en la cual este concepto opera y cobra vigencia en el presente a través de la historia del rock alternativo y sigue estando vigente en la contemporaneidad. Por último, se observa al rockero, el protagonista de toda esta historia, quien es capaz de denunciar las supuestas normalidades, es el que cuestiona, es quien deambula de espaldas hacia el presente sin perder la panorámica del pasado. La tarea del hombre contemporáneo es intentar rescatar el pensamiento que le haya precedido y a partir de ahí fijar la mirada hacia el futuro, sin que sea esta mirada al pasado interpretada como retroceso, sino más bien como un comprender, un entender a hombros de gigantes.es-ES
