This book presents the development of the research project entitled "Design and implementation of an UHF / VHF communications radio for Cubesat type small sized satellites". Through this, all stages of development and implementation of a communications radio for small satellite are shown. The main objective is to develop and implement a communications radio in the UHF / VHF bands to enable efficient communication between an earth station and a nano-satellite in a LEO orbit (Low Earth Orbit). The radio is designed along the lines of Cubesat standard that defines aspects such as the geometry of the printed circuit, modulation used, the communication protocol used and the data transmission rates.
