dc.descriptionEn los últimos años, ha sido notorio el rápido avance de las tecnologías en sistemas de telecomunicaciones móviles. Esto ha generado la necesidad constante de actualizar las tecnologías utilizadas en estos sistemas. En este trabajo de grado, realizado en modalidad de pasantía, se aborda la urgente necesidad de modernizar una red 4G utilizada por un proveedor de servicios de telefonía. La red 4G actual está alcanzando el final de su vida útil y carece de algunas características y tecnologías esenciales presentes en las redes modernas. Por lo tanto, se plantea diseñar e implementar una nueva red que reemplace la existente. Durante este proceso, se identifican diversos pasos cruciales a considerar en el diseño de la nueva red, y se desarrolla un plan de implementación que permite una transición fluida hacia la red actual. Además, se asegura la integración con los diversos elementos adicionales presentes en el sistema 4G existente. Finalmente, se llevan a cabo pruebas exhaustivas para garantizar el correcto funcionamiento de la nueva red antes de su futura puesta en producción.
dc.descriptionIn recent years, there has been notable rapid advancement in mobile telecommunications technology. This has necessitated ongoing updates and modernization efforts within these systems. In the course of an internship project, the urgent requirement to modernize a 4G network used by a telecommunications service provider is addressed. The existing 4G network has reached the end of its useful life and lacks essential features and technologies present in contemporary networks. Consequently, the project proposes the design and implementation of a new network to replace the existing one. Throughout this endeavor, various crucial steps integral to the new network's design are identified, and an implementation plan is formulated to ensure a smooth transition from the current network. Additionally, it ensures the seamless integration of various supplementary elements within the existing 4G system. Thorough testing is conducted to guarantee the new network's flawless operation before its eventual commissioning.
