dc.descriptionEl Tereftalato de Polietileno es un polímero de amplia vida útil empleado en la elaboración de fibras, prendas de vestir y envases de bebidas, que al no ser reintegrado al ciclo productivo a través de un proceso de reciclaje se convierte en un residuo abundante que contamina las fuentes de agua y suelos. Con el presente estudio se determinó la factibilidad del diseño, fabricación y comercialización de bicicletas con marcos elaborados a partir de Tereftalato de Polietileno Reciclado (RPET) en Bogotá D.C. En el desarrollo del estudio inicialmente se analizaron variables como la demanda y oferta del mercado objetivo del producto, seguidamente se describieron las características técnicas del proyecto tales como tamaño, localización y proceso productivo, adicionalmente, se estableció la estructura organizacional y la normatividad ambiental aplicable y finalmente, se calculó la Tasa Interna de Retorno (TIR) y el Valor Presente Neto (VPN). Los resultados obtenidos muestran que el producto cuenta con una demanda potencial significativa que posibilita su ingreso al mercado, así como la necesidad de instalaciones con un área mínima de 100 m2 para llevar a cabo el proceso de fabricación y comercialización; también, es posible afirmar que el proyecto presenta factibilidad financiera al alcanzar una TIR de 23,67% y un VPN de $141.741.218,59 en un flujo de caja sin apalancamiento financiero, valores que ascienden a 40,39% y $577.562.962,02 respectivamente, en un flujo de caja con apalancamiento.
dc.descriptionPolyethylene terephthalate is a polymer with a long useful life that is used for making fibers, clothing and beverage containers, which if not returned to a the production chain through a recycling process becomes into an abundant waste that contaminates water sources and soils. In the present study it was determined the feasibility of the design, manufacture and marketing of bicycles with frames made of Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (RPET) in Bogotá D.C. In the development of the research, variables such as the demand and supply of the target market of the product were initially analyzed, and then the technical characteristics of the project such as size, location and production process were described. In addition, the organizational structure and the applicable environmental regulations were established. Finally, the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and the Net Present Value (NPV) were calculated. The results obtained show that the product has a significant potential demand that enables its entry into the market, as well as the need for facilities with a minimum area of 100 m2 to carry out the manufacturing and marketing process. Furthermore, it is possible to affirm that the project presents financial feasibility with an IRR of 23.67% and a NPV of $ 141,741,218 in a cash flow without leverage, indicators that increase to 40.39% and $ 577,562,962 in a cash flow with financial advantage.
