dc.descriptionEsta investigación hace parte del Grupo de Investigación competitividad y sostenibilidad Empresarial (GICOSO) de la Universidad Distrital y tiene como objetivo fundamental la generación de bioplástico a base del almidón producido por la semilla de aguacate (Persea americana) en sus variedades ¨Fuerte¨, ¨Lorena¨ y Criolla¨. En este artículo se evidencia la obtención del almidón elaborado por el método húmedo y verificado por reactivo de Lugol, para posteriormente obtener el termoplástico por el proceso de extrusión de filamentos por émbolo, con la colaboración de la Universidad ECCI en el uso de sus laboratorios. Para validar nuestra propuesta se hizo, en primer lugar, un estudio teórico de las materias primas utilizadas, en donde se consta la importancia del aguacate en un país líder en producción de la fruta como Colombia, así como también un análisis detallado de los procedimientos a seguir; posteriormente, un estudio del impacto medio ambiental que tiene el plástico convencional, mostrando así las ventajas de trabajar con materiales amigables con el medio ambiente como el termoplástico propuesto, concluyendo que la obtención de almidón de las semillas de aguacate fue de 2% siendo un material a muy bajo costo y con características obtenidas en las diferentes pruebas de poco y alto índice de fluidez y gran biodegradabilidad.
dc.descriptionThis research is part of the Competitiveness and Business Sustainability Research Group (GICOSO) of the Distrital University and its main objective is the generation of bioplastic based on the starch produced by the avocado seed (Persea americana) in varieties "Fuerte", "Lorena" and "Criolla". This article shows the obtaining of the starch prepared by the wet method and verified by Lugol's reagent, to subsequently obtain the thermoplastic by the horizontal extrusion process of filaments, with the collaboration of the ECCI University in the use of its laboratories. To validate our proposal, a theoretical study of the raw materials used was made, in the first place, where the importance of avocado in a leading country in the production of the fruit like Colombia is verified, as well as a detailed analysis of the procedures to follow; Subsequently, a study of the environmental impact of conventional plastic to show the advantages of working with environmentally friendly materials such as the proposed thermoplastic, concluding that the obtaining of starch from avocado seeds was 2% and the generation of thermoplastic by the mentioned method, obtaining a substitute for plastic with a raw material at a very low cost.
