dc.descriptionCon el reciente acceso a los datos sobre la producción intelectual docente por parte de la implementación del sistema de gestión de información docente KYRON, la necesidad de satisfacer con los requisitos de información sobre la producción intelectual de la planta profesoral de la Universidad que solicita el modelo de acreditación institucional, así como la insuficiencia de una fuente de datos orientada a obtener dicha información masiva, de forma ágil y estructurada que haga parte de la bodega de datos central de la universidad, el objetivo del presente trabajo es implementar un DATAMART, el cual permita dar solución a las necesidades de información expuestas anteriormente. Para poder llevar a cabo esta implementación se han seguido los lineamientos de la metodología para la construcción de almacenes de datos de Ralph Kimball, desde la planificación hasta las respectivas pruebas del modelo dimensional, utilizando las tecnologías y estándares manejados por la institución. Haciendo uso de la herramienta Talend, se ha diseñado e implementado el sistema ETL para la respectiva carga de datos al Datamart. Finalmente se evidencia por medio del uso de la herramienta BI (Business Intelligence) SpagoBi, que los reportes tipo chart generados a partir de los datos del Datamart, generan el conocimiento que permite dar solución a las necesidades de información en un 85%. Para suplir el conocimiento restante es necesaria una fuente de datosadicional a KYRON.
dc.descriptionWith new access to data on the teacher intellectual production by of the implementation of the information management system, KYRON, the need to satisfy the information requirements on the intellectual production of the professional plant of the University that requests the model of institutional accreditation, as well as the inadequacy of a data source oriented to the mass information, in an quickly and structured, that is part of the central data warehouse of the university, the objective of this work is to implement a DATAMART, which allows to solve the information needs previously stated. In order to carry out this implementation, the guidelines for Ralph Kimball´s data construction methodology have been followed, from planning to testing the dimensional model, using the technologies and standards managed by the institution. Using the Talend tool, the ETL system has been designed and implemented to load data from Datamart. Finally, it is evidenced by the use of the BI tool (Business Intelligence) SpagoBi, which the chart-type reports generated from the Datamart data, generates the knowledge that allows to solve the information needs by 85%. For the rest of the knowledge an additional data source is required to KYRON.
