dc.description	Complications due to adverse events, in this case of peripheral venous catheter, is the research topic of this article and aims to determine the most frequent adverse events related to the insertion of peripheral venous catheter according to the review of scientific articles during the year 2019, there is extensive literature on the subject however using the method of integrative literature review, the most relevant information was selected and classified, here the causes of the events, most common complications, consequences and most relevant risks in front of these adverse events are exposed, also in an objective way and fulfilling a purpose the protocols for the management of adverse events of peripheral venous catheter are exposed. The source consulted was characterized in order to obtain the information needed for the research and thus shape the article in such a way that it fulfills informative and protocol functions. Among the conclusions that were obtained are the causes that lead to the presentation of adverse events by insertion of CVP: the administration of antibiotics, lack of knowledge of health personnel, lack of sanitation and antisepsis of the skin, poor choice of cannulation equipment as well as the poor choice of the site of location of the venipuncture.	en-US
dc.description	Las complicaciones por eventos adversos, en este caso de catéter venoso periférico, es el tema de investigación de este artículo y tiene como objetivo determinar los eventos adversos más frecuentes relacionados con la inserción de catéter venoso periférico de acuerdo a la revisión de artículos científicos durante el año 2019, existe una amplia literatura al respecto sin embargo utilizando el método de revisión integrativa de literatura, se seleccionó y clasificó la información más relevante, aquí se expone las causas de los eventos, complicaciones más comunes, consecuencias y riesgos más relevantes frente a estos eventos adversos, también de manera objetiva y cumpliendo un propósito se exponen los protocolos para el manejo de eventos adversos de catéter venoso periférico. Se caracteriza la fuente consultada con el fin de obtener la información prescindible para la investigación y de esta manera darle forma al artículo de tal manera que cumpla funciones informativas y protocolarias, entre las conclusiones que se obtuvieron son las causas que conducen a la presentación de eventos adversos por inserción de CVP son: la administración de antibióticos, desconocimiento del personal en salud, falta de higienización y antisepsia de la piel, mala elección del equipo de canalización como también la mala elección del sitio de localización de la venopunció.	es-ES
